Heat oil in a large pan over high to medium heat.
Add onions, cook until slightly browned, and you get that delicious aroma.
Add ground beef and separate it with a wooden spoon or spatula. Cook for about 5-6 minutes,stirring intermittently. Drain off excess fat.
Add chili powder, salt, ground cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried oregano, smoked paprika, ground jalapeno and crushed red pepper flakes. Stir well to ensure that the seasonings are evenly distributed to coat the meat.
Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and corn, stir well, allow it to simmer for 2-3 minutes, then turn off the heat.
Using a large spoon, fill the Taco Shells with the cooked ground beef and garnish to your preference. Serve immediately.
